I do hope each and everyone who visits has a wonderful Christmas season, and, a VERY HAPPY HEALTHY and PROSPEROUS New Year!

Fall WAS in the air, felt wonderful! Now it’s summer again, that’s good because we are on the inland waterway on our way to Myrtle Beach for a week, only 2 boats but 14 people. Looking forward to a LARGE time to be had by all.

We were spared the wrath of Irene.  So sorry for those who were not.  We were not spared Hugo and we know a little of what you are going through.  My street literally camped out for 21 days afterwards with no power and no phone service (we were not in the cell phone era at that time, we had pagers).  All our thoughts and prayers are with the ones who feel the devastation.

IRENE

We find ourselves waiting for our first hurricane of the season, our area has only seen one full blown one, that was Hugo in 1989.  Since we made it through that one I think some people feel bullet proof, but deep down we do feel a little trepidation when they predict one to come into Charleston (as the crow flies 60 miles).  It does not look as if we will see anything but rain and wind.  I really feel bad for those of you who are in the path, I just hope and pray everyone of you will come out with your families in tact, it’s bad to lose  everything, but when you have your loved ones survive, you know that is all that matters.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

In my years as a broker/manager, these are the top 10 mistakes that I see buyers make.
Not using a real estate professional to assist with negotiating
Not initializing all changes on a contract
Not obtaining & reading covenants & restrictions prior to closing
Not determining the Homeowners Association fees prior to contract
Not having a home inspection
Not having an appraisal if paying cash
Not having a new survey of the property
Not obtaining flood insurance even if not in a “flood zone”
Not obtaining earthquake insurance
Not getting owner’s title insurance

Thanks Liz

You need to be here!  It is beautiful, sun shining ,70 degrees at 9:30am looking for 86 today, people are out in boats; just cruising, some are  fishing some are catching, and they are on every golf course.  What are you waiting for? If it is an invitation, here it is, come on down!!  Call me I’ll show you what you have been missing.

March

Tomorrow is the first day of March and we are having 80 degree weather here on Lake Marion!  Come on down you know you are ready to get away from that cold, wet  weather.  Call me I’ll help you find a place to be warm and you can play on the water and/or golf all day!

I am ready to get back into the full swing and get to selling more property. Now, you could be a help with that, if you are looking  call me and I will certainly help you find just what you are looking for.  One thing that would help a lot is for you to be pre-approved so we’ll know where to start, you can do that right at our office call 803-433-2800 and ask for Carol Jo Horne, she’ll help you. Then we will start the search.   Hope to see y’all soon!

Good Health to all.

It is really starting to put it’s color on, I know of very few places you can see any more beauty than right here

in my back yard!  All you have to do is look across the water, see the changing leaves and the mirrored color in the lake waters.  Oh you really need to visit us this time of

year. And the sunsets are too die for!!
